With the new brand and new funding comes ample reason to celebrate. We, as members of the Boston Start-Up Community, believe it is our divine right to throw rowdy parties with loud music and an eclectic guest list. So on Thursday, July 19th , we gathered to commemorate CampusLIVE, welcome the Dailybreak name, celebrate new ventures, and say thank you to our community and friends.

The Facebook event page guest list quickly grew as word traveled through the streets of Boston. Talks of foosball, a fog machine, and the photo booth piqued the public’s interest, as it was sure to be an interesting night. And interesting it was.
Somehow, we crammed about 300 of our closest friends into our North End office. As the night went on, the photo booth pictures became increasingly more charismatic, with people throwing on costumes and props to pose against the Dailybreak wall. The energy was contagious, the crowd was excited, and the music was rocking.
The entire night was a truly humbling experience. Our party was filled with past interns who helped us get here today (by devoting loooooong hours at UMass) and families of current employees (including a 2 year old and a baby!). And it was supported by business partners who have spent time and/or resources investing in our future and other local start-ups who have made Boston the rich and inspiring city we call home.
We realized that we could never be here without the dedicated support of everybody within our networks. So many people have been involved in the evolution of Dailybreak/CampusLIVE, making this community an incredibly passionate and enthusiastic one. We appreciate everyone who came out to celebrate with us. For the absent hands we were not able to shake with gratitude, thank you for your continued support as well.

Also, big thanks to our sponsors: Uber, who gave free town car rides so that everyone not only got home safe, but arrived in style, and Deep Eddy Sweet Tea Vodka, who came and served up their signature Sweet Tea Lemonade drinks that we couldn’t make fast enough to satisfy demand.
If you want to check out the madness that ensued, go to www.facebook.com/dailybreak for pictures from the event. We plan to keep hustling hard here at Dailybreak and hope to celebrate new milestones soon. As always, you are invited. See you soon!
